Mortise locks provide a proper security function only if there is an adequate distance between the face plate of the mortise lock and the striking plate (MEDIATOR 2-5.5 mm).
If the distance is bigger, this can be decreased with the distance holder plates either on the mortise lock or on the electric strike side.
