Mechanical latch bolts
For doors without a lock, where a strike is to be applied, a counterpart built into the door leaf, a so called mechanical latch bolt is to be used.
Electric strikes used in sliding doors can be used with hook bolt mortise locks. These mortise locks also have to be installed in the door leaf.
If the door has no lock but a strike is to be used.
